The Portovesme production process consists in obtaining non-ferrous metals by thermal and electrochemical methods. 
Production is carried out almost entirely at the Portoscuso site, where there are plants for the extraction of Zinc and Lead from raw and secondary materials;
 instead, in the San Gavino Monreale plant, the lead refining phase and the extraction of other non-ferrous metals, in particular gold and silver, takes place
